Volunteer
Volunteer at a local food pantry, special event, or The Food Pantries’ office. Volunteers are the backbone of the fight against hunger. We can connect you to a food pantry or find a match for you within The Food Pantries’ office. We often need help with events, bread sorting, clerical, and data entry.
If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information, please fill out our volunteer application and a staff member will be in touch.
Grow a Row
Calling on all avid gardeners to “Grow a Row” in their gardens to help us feed our neighbors in need! Just one gardener donating home-grown garden produce to a community food agency makes a big difference. Whether it is a whole row, several rows or just a few extra tomato or pepper plants, or a hill of potatoes, it means more fresh produce to help feed hungry households.
Thank you for growing with us!

Attend Events
For more information on events, see Events tab in the menu.
Throughout the year we hold events to raise awareness about hunger and funds to help keep our food pantries stocked. Events offer an opportunity to enjoy good company and have a good time while raising money for a very important cause.
Give an Annual or Monthly Donation
We rely on the generosity and support of the community to feed the hungry. Just $1 can help provide 6.25 pounds of food. Your donation will have immediate impact and will remain local in Albany, Rensselaer, and Saratoga Counties. Our easy monthly giving plan allows you to make monthly gifts of any amount and really add up! A monthly gift of just $10 can help provide 750 pounds of food!
